Hire Me
I have broad expertise in computer science and electrical engineering with over 17 years experience leading projects, managing distributed teams and developing solutions for a variety of customers including the government, academia, and the non-profit sector. I am equally comfortable engineering for the web as I am close to the metal of spacecraft.
Most of my career has been at university affiliated and federally funded research centers. I have worked in the areas of modeling and simulation, robotics, satellite navigation and general web development.
- 2007-2013 - Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory - Professional Staff
- 2013-2015 - University of Southern California - PhD Student (Comp Sci/Robotics)
- 2015-Present - NASA Jet Propulsion Lab - Affiliate (Contractor)
I have some availability for contract work. If you would like to hire me, use one of the many ways to contact me listed on this page. I also have availability for pro-bono development projects in the areas of social justice, climate justice, community organizing and politics broadly. Note that I am not a designer or a UX expert, though sometimes I can do a passable impression of either. I prefer to focus on systems that collect, analyze, organize and disseminate data in any of the broad categories listed above. I also have an interest in systems that help organize volunteer labor and community groups.
Resume
When I’m not working at the Jet Propulsion Lab supporting space missions and global satellite navigation infrastructure, I’m donating my technical expertise to local political campaigns and organizing with the SELAH Neighborhood Homeless Coalition to address homelessness in Los Angeles. I am also on the board of Hollywood 4WRD. Volunteerism is included on my resume because it occupies at least as much time as my professional work and is often more difficult and impactful.
